The A-Z of Booking Cruises

This is an introductory class for the newer agents of the Travel Industry. It is ideally suited for those who have not cruised before and/or have not booked a cruise vacation. So, if you dislike cruising as a vacation for yourself, are hesitant in offering cruises to your clients, unfamiliar with booking and the follow-up process of selling cruises, this course is for you.

After this project-based and highly interactive class you will be able to accurately advise your clients on cruising as a vacation option, recommend ships that match their needs, counsel them on the cruise experience and provide tips to help them enhance their cruise experience. You will be able to:

  • Know the target markets for cruising as a vacation
  • Verbalize the cruise experience and its value when compared to a land vacation
  • Discuss documentation and other requirements for cruising
  • Match appropriate cruise lines, ships, itineraries, destinations with client needs
  • Offer suggestions for cabin selection, dining options, shore excursions and other onboard activities to enhance the cruise experience
  • Advise clients on how to maximize their cruise vacation
  • Quote, book and follow up on all steps of booking a cruise either by phone or online (basically “processing” a booking from A-Z)
